As an eyewear stylist, one of your regular responsibilities will be to adjust our patient’s eyewear to fit comfortably and correctly on their face. When we order eyewear for our patients, the glasses come to us from the lab with a standard adjustment, and the optician will need to custom adjust the frame to the patient. In addition, patients will need adjustments after they have worn their glasses over a stretch of time. After awhile, the frame may need to be tightened up, nose pads replaced, etc. If a patient has an accident with their eyewear (like accidentally stepping or sitting on their eyewear), often a simple adjustment can repair the frame. Lastly, offering adjustments to patients with their existing eyewear is a great opportunity to provide service that exceeds their expectations!
This training will review the parts of eyeglasses, as well as provide training on how to do adjustments. This training should be supplemented with hands on practice, and can be used as a reference for years to come! :D
